Spacious and luxurious

The most notable update for the 2016 A8 is that all trim levels are now long-wheelbase. So any 2016 A8 you find on our lots will be the largest version available. With a host of luxurious trim levels to choose from, you just need to pick your powertrain. It all starts with a great standard supercharged 3.0L V6 making 333 horsepower. However, you'll find an optional 3.0L turbodiesel V6 with 240 horsepower, an available turbocharged 4.0L V8 with 435 horsepower, and an incredible 6.3L W12 engine that makes 500 horsepower.

5 reasons to buy the 2016 Audi A8

1. Powerful engine options

You don't have to sacrifice if you go with the base engine in the 2016 A8. It's a great 3.0L making 333 horsepower, but you can up the power factor if you prefer a bit more of a thrill. Look for the V8 and W12 options, with 435 horsepower and 500 horsepower respectively. However, if you want fewer trips to the gas pump, check out the optional turbodiesel V6. It makes 240 horsepower and has an EPA-estimated 28 mpg combined.

2. Standard long-wheelbase

The Audi A8 has an optional long-wheelbase version for quite a few years. However, for the 2016 model year, it became standard on all trim levels. That gets you a 207.4-inch length, which extends the rear legroom to a more-than-ample 42.9 inches. That means more room for you or your passengers to stretch out on a long road trip.

3. Great standard features

Naturally, the top-of-the-range A8 is pretty well-equipped, but you might be surprised at just how many standard features you'll find. The list is extensive, with standard interior features like four-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, 14-way power-adjustable and heated front seats, and power sunshades for both the rear glass and rear side windows. You'll also get LED headlights, a sunroof, dual-pane acoustic glass, heated and power-folding exterior mirrors, and a smooth-riding adaptive air suspension. There is nothing basic about the base model of the 2016 A8.

4. Standard all-wheel-drive capability

Power is nothing without control. Have no fear, the 2016 Audi A8 gets standard quattro all-wheel-drive on all trim levels. That means that if the weather goes foul on your next big trip, the A8 has got you covered.

5. Loads of packages and options

You might be thinking that the standard stuff isn't quite enough. Click on our "features" filter and you'll be able to refine your search to find just the right A8 for your individual needs. Features like upgraded leather upholstery with a simulated suede headliner, a panoramic sunroof, 18-way power-adjustable front seats with four-way lumbar adjustment, ventilation, and a massage function are just the beginning.
