5 reasons to buy the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

1. Wide range of engine options

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 offers a range of engine options from the standard 310-hp 2.7L engine all the way up to a mighty 420-hp V8. There's also a turbodiesel available with 495 lb-ft of torque that gets an EPA-estimated 29 mpg on the highway.

You'll find these engine options across the nine trim levels — look out for the RST Crew Cab model if you want a 5.3L V8 as standard. The big 6.2L V8 is available on all but the base trim and is standard on the ZR2.

2. Huge towing capacity

To get the maximum towing capacity of an estimated 13,300 lbs, you'll need the short-bed two-wheel-drive Silverado with the 3.0L turbodiesel engine and 20-inch wheels or the four-wheel drive model with the 6.2L engine (both with the Max Trailering Package and when properly equipped).

But even standard models have some impressive pulling power: the standard two-wheel-drive models with the 2.7L engine will still tow up to an estimated 9,100 lbs when properly equipped.
So whether you're taking your boat to the lake or need to take machinery to the job site, the 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 has you covered.

3. High-tech features

This might be a practical truck with plenty of hauling power, but that doesn't mean it's not high-tech, too. In fact, the available SuperCruise driver-assistance technology will blow you away. It enables hands-free driving on compatible roads using sensors, GPS, and map data. As a driver, you still need to be aware but it makes long commutes more comfortable than ever. On top of this, you'll also enjoy the available cameras that make trailering a cinch too — with these advanced camera technologies you can switch between hitch and driving views to help keep an eye on what's around you.

4. Luxury in a truck package

The High Country trim is the ultimate in luxury. You'll get lovely touches such as leather seating, open-pore wood trim, a seven-speaker audio system, and much more. This model is designed to turn heads while giving you a plush atmosphere to spend time in during your daily drives. Other touches such as retractable steps and a power tailgate further add to the feeling of luxury.

5. Rugged style

There's no denying that the Silverado has a rugged style but you can take that further with the 2023 Silverado ZR2. This is a machine built for off-roading with a special chassis, underbody skidplates, and a two-speed transfer case with Terrain mode. This will help you get where you want to go, even if mud and rocks stand in your way. As standard, it comes with the 6.2L V8 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
