Roomy and comfortable

The 2016 GMC Acadia has plenty of space. The three-row midsize SUV stands out because it comes standard with seating for eight, rather than the more common seating for seven. That’s important for families that need an extra seat. The 2016 GMC Acadia comes standard with a 281-hp 3.6-liter V6 engine, which produces 288 hp on the high-end Denali trim. The engine isn’t the strongest for this size vehicle, but it’s practical, especially when paired with available all-wheel drive. Available luxury touches, like heated, ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof give the GMC Acadia an upscale feel.

5 reasons to buy the 2016 GMC Acadia

1. Ready for adventure

The 2016 GMC Acadia can haul everything you need for your next adventure. Whether it’s band equipment for your next gig or camping supplies for a weekend away, it will likely fit in the 24 cu-ft of cargo space behind the third row. Fold the third row flat for 70 cu-ft or cargo space, or an impressive 116 cu-ft behind the front row when all rear seats are folded flat.

2. Equipped for winter

Winter driving is no problem with the 2016 GMC Acadia. The SUV offers available AWD at every trim level, giving you the traction you need on slippery roads. Available remote start, heated mirrors, and heated front seats will make cold commutes more cozy.

3. Plenty of passenger space

If you have lots of kids or just like to travel with friends, the 2016 GMC Acadia is up for the challenge. The base trim seats eight, thanks to a second row bench. All other trims come standard with seating for seven due to second-row captain’s chairs, but a bench (and thus, an extra seat) are always available.

4. Connectivity

Enjoy listening to your favorite playlist in the 2016 GMC Acadia. The SLT trim and higher come standard with a 10-speaker Bose® stereo system. Standard Bluetooth® connectivity, three USB ports, and an auxiliary audio jack make it easy to stay connected to podcasts or playlists.

5. Upscale features

Do you enjoy a bit of style alongside practicality? The 2016 GMC Acadia delivers, especially with the high-end Denali trim. That comes with leather upholstery, interior styling flourishes, and a panoramic sunroof. Whether you’re giving the boss a ride or impressing a date, the Denali holds its own.

Ratings & reliability

Customer ratings

The 2016 GMC Acadia is praised for its spacious and versatile interior, smooth ride quality, and accommodating cargo capacity. However, customers noted poor fuel economy, occasional cabin noise, and challenges with technology features. It offers comfort and utility but could improve in efficiency and user-friendly tech.
