The 2015 GMC Acadia is built for families on the move. The SUV comes standard with a 281-hp 3.6-liter V6 engine (on the high-end Denali trim, this engine produces 288 hp). Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is an available option. Inside, there is plenty of space for people and possessions. The Acadia comes standard with seating for eight, which drops to seven if you stick with the second-row captain's chairs that come standard on most trims. A generous cargo hold is available even when the third row is occupied.
Whether you have a large brood yourself, or find yourself carpooling with friends’ kids, you’ll appreciate that the 2015 GMC Acadia comes standard with seating for eight people in the base trim. All other trims have second-row captain’s chairs that drop seating to seven. However, the bench is an available option on every trim if you need the extra seat.
Maybe you coach little league, or regularly pack the car for a weekend of skiing. The 2015 GMC Acadia has plenty of space for all your adventures. There’s 24 cu-ft behind the third row, jumping to 70 cu-ft when the third row is folded flat. If you fold the second row bench, you’ll have an impressive 116 cu-ft for cargo.
If you’re the type who always upgrades, you’ll want to look at the Denali trim of the 2015 GMC Acadia. The highest of the five 2014 Acadia trims, the Denali is equipped with heated and ventilated leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and unique styling touches. The Denali can hold its own in the private-school pick-up line or at Black-tie events.
When you’re thinking about taking care of kids and balancing kids and work, it’s nice to know technology is on hand to assist you behind the wheel. The Denali trim offers the most driver-assist features, with standard lane-departure warning and collision warning. A heads-up display is available on the SLT-2 trim and standard on the Denali.
Life is busy, so little convenience features like those on the 2015 GMC Denali can make a big difference. Keyless entry and cruise control comes standard, while remote start and power liftgate are standard on the SLT-2 trim and higher. Available voice controls let you adjust the infotainment system without lifting a finger.
