The 2022 Infiniti QX60 gets a complete redesign that ushers in a handsome exterior, an updated and attractive cabin, and a stout V6 engine coupled to a nine-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional. Competing in a hotly competitive segment, rivals to the new QX60 include the Acura MDX, Audi Q7, BMW X5, and Mercedes-Benz GLE Class, to name only a few.
Passenger space is plentiful, as is the amount of standard comfort, tech, and driver-assist features. For example, every QX60 is fitted with blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beam headlights, lane-keeping assistance, and rear parking sensors. Where the QX60 stumbles is in ride quality. The suspension lacks the refinement and poise common to many luxury SUVs. The front seats are also lacking in support after longer stints behind the wheel.
Cargo volume: With a full house on board, the QX60 still has about 14 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the third row, which could handle about 17 bags of groceries. When it's folded, the room expands to more than 41 cubic feet, an impressive amount of room for a midsize SUV.
Lots of standard features: The entry-level QX60 comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay®, wired Android Auto™, tri-zone climate control, wireless device charging, a power liftgate, a panoramic moonroof, and heated front seats.
Quality cabin trim: Infiniti did a good job of not just simply crafting a spacious interior, but one that looks classy and is filled with quality trim. Outward visibility is another plus point—the QX60 offers an expansive view of the road ahead.
Suspension refinement: It’s a shame the QX60 has a suspension that doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be when it grows up. At times it’s too firm, and then it transfers to feeling too soft. A more balanced ride would greatly improve this SUV’s driving dynamics.
