Two new-for-2020 powertrain options harness the benefits of hybrid engine technology. For 2020, the Range Rover gets a new base engine, a 355-hp, twin-turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder engine that is paired to a mild hybrid system for optimal engine performance. If you’re shopping with short-trip convenience in mind, the 2020 Range Rover HSE and Autobiography trims get a plug-in hybrid powertrain option. This turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder gas engine combines with an onboard electric motor for an impressive 398 hp and an all-electric range of 19 miles when fully charged.

2. Elegant interior finishing 

The 2020 Range Rover ensures every journey is as luxurious for you and your loved ones as possible. From the base trim upward, you’ll enjoy leather upholstery and wood veneer trim accents. The latest infotainment technology features will also keep your crew entertained, including twin touchscreens, premium Meridian^™ audio, smartphone integration, and voice command functionality. 

3. Spacious dimensions 

The 2020 Range Rover has a palatial interior for your loved ones to relax in. Upfront you'll have 39.1 inches of legroom, inboard armrests, and an elevated seating position to enjoy. The second row has seating for three as standard with 39.3 inches of available legroom. Choosing a long-wheelbase variant increases that to 46.8 inches of legroom. Pick a model with the two-person rear executive class seating configuration for true VIP luxury, with second-row seats that benefit from extended recline functionality, integrated side cushioning, and more.   

4. Towing capacity 

For sporting families and friendship groups that adventure together, the 2020 Range Rover can support your active lifestyle with its hardy towing capabilities. Opt for a 2020 model with turbodiesel, mild hybrid, or gas-only powertrains for maximum hauling capability. When properly equipped, you’ll enjoy up to an estimated 7,716 lbs of towing capacity for trailers, boats, horse boxes, and more.

The plug-in hybrid powertrain still impresses, however, with the ability to tow up to an estimated 5,511 lbs when properly equipped. 

5. Off-road agility 

The stunning silhouette of the 2020 Range Rover is a natural fit for upscale city streets, but it's equally at home navigating forest trails and rocky tracks. Standard off-road features include four-wheel drive, hill descent control, and electronic air suspension. All 2020 models also have a version of Land Rover’s Terrain Response^® system, which optimizes performance and stability output, according to the conditions you’re traveling through. For crossing water-logged sports fields, rivers, and streams, the 2020 Range Rover also has a wading depth of 35.4 inches.
