5 reasons to buy the 2018 Land Rover Range Rover

1. Off-road ability

For weekend adventures and country escapes, the 2018 Range Rover boasts a long list of advanced off-road technologies. Standard features that assist you on forest trails and coastal shores include four-wheel drive, a Terrain Response® selectable drive-mode system, and low traction launch for standing starts in tough conditions. Pick the 2018 Range Rover Supercharged trim or above for dynamic response functionality, which aids low-speed agility. Or look at the Autobiography trims for all-terrain progress control, which sets your speed over rough terrain so you can focus on maneuvering awareness.

2. Deluxe interior dimensions

Crafted with care in deluxe leather upholstery and wood accent finishing, the 2018 Range Rover interior is a hushed oasis of premium comfort. Two eight-inch high-resolution touchscreens, plus tactile dials and button controls ensure everything feels intuitive and accessible. Spacious seating for both rows includes 42.5 inches of legroom up front and 40.1 inches for the standard second row. For the long-wheelbase (LWB) version, you'll get 47.4 inches in the second row. For your travel essentials, the standard wheelbase model’s cargo bay offers 31.8 cu-ft of space behind the second row.

3. Engine options

Three powertrain options allow you to prioritize frugal performance or exhilarating acceleration. For the base and HSE trims, the 2018 Range Rover has a 340-hp, supercharged 3.0L V6 gas base engine. These models can also be found with the optional turbodiesel 3.0L V6, capable of 254 hp, 443 lb-ft of torque, and an impressive EPA-estimated 24 mpg combined. Powering the Supercharged and Autobiography trims is a 518-hp, supercharged 5.0L V8 gas engine, while the range-topping SVAutobiography Dynamic trim gets a re-tuned version of the same engine, capable of 557 hp.

4. Available packages

After selecting a preferred trim level, the 2018 Range Rover you're considering may also have additional package features that enhance your driving experience. Treat your second-row crew to a 2018 model with the Entertainment or Signature Entertainment package, and they’ll enjoy twin rear-row entertainment screens with a dedicated DVD player. For trips with a trailer, choose a 2018 Range Rover with any of the gas-only or diesel engines and the available Towing package, for up to an estimated 7,716 lbs of hauling capacity when properly equipped.

5. Long-wheelbase model

For the 2018 model year, the Long-Wheelbase (LWB) Range Rover variant can be found across the Supercharged and Autobiography trim levels, offering a generous increase in space and amenities for your second-row passengers. With 7.3 inches of additional legroom and an extended panoramic roof to enjoy, your loved ones will feel very special indeed. Pick the LWB model in its four-seater SVAutobiography LWB trim and your rear-row crew will get the full VIP treatment, with twin reclining executive-class seats, folding tables, footrests, and a center console cooler compartment.
