A super-luxurious five-passenger sports sedan is less common than it used to be. The 2016 Lexus GS F is a reminder of how much fun a midsize sedan can be. Power comes from an epic 5.0L V8 that develops an eye-watering 467 horsepower. You'll find standard rear-wheel-drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission that can be operated with steering-column mounted paddles. It's full of performance upgrades to the suspension, brakes, exhaust, and more. All with the typical comfort level you'd expect in a great Lexus sedan.
1. Tons of standard equipment
The 2016 GS F comes in one trim level, and as you would imagine, it's quite well-equipped. You'll get standard exterior features like big 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, and heated auto-dimming side mirrors. Inside, you can expect standard features like driver-selectable drive modes, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated eight-way power front seats, and a power rear sunshade.
The heart of the 2020 GS F is that amazing 5.0L V8 under the hood. It develops 467 hp and 389 lb-ft of torque, which is good for a 4.5-second trip to 60 mph (according to the manufacturer, when new). That's not just fast for a sedan. That's just fast.
Lexus engineers went to work on the 2020 GS F and made changes throughout the car. They added a torque-vectoring rear differential, fitted upsized brakes, and a retuned suspension to put the power better down. That's in addition to the aggressive bodywork, quad tailpipe tips, carbon-fiber accents, and 19-inch GS F-specific wheels.
Your super sedan will have a great set of technology features inside as well. Standard tech features include Bluetooth® phone and audio connectivity, a sizable 12.3-inch screen with navigation, a rearview camera, and a 12-speaker surround-sound audio. The standalone options list also has a great 17-speaker premium Mark Levinson® sound system.
The Lexus GS, on which the GS F is based, is already a great family-sized sedan. The GS F just adds all that performance and fun, along with seating for five. Cargo space is 14 cu-ft, with 32.8 inches of rear legroom. So your family and friends can come along on your next rapid driving adventure.
