Under the hood of every 2023 Volkswagen Jetta, you will find a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Power output is 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, ideal for zipping around town and the daily commute. More impressively, this engine can achieve an EPA-estimated 34 mpg combined, and 42 mpg on the highway, when paired with the standard six-speed manual transmission.
To provide maximum peace of mind out on the roads and in the busy city, the 2023 Volkswagen Jetta offers a full suite of driver convenience technologies even on standard models, most of which can be found in the optional IQ.Drive® package. All 2023 Jettas include forward collision mitigation with automatic emergency braking, as well as blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. The IQ.Drive package can be found as an option on S and Sport trims equipped with automatic transmission and as standard on SE and SEL trims. This package features lane-keeping assist, active cruise control, active blind-spot monitoring, and emergency assistance.
Step inside the 2023 Volkswagen Jetta and you'll be greeted with a cabin that's much more roomy and convenient than you might've expected from the outside. Despite being a compact sedan, up to five passengers can enjoy 41.1 inches of front seat legroom and 37.4 inches of rear seat legroom. Additionally, you get 14.1 cu-ft of cargo volume in the trunk in standard configuration, and with all 2023 Volkswagen Jettas coming with a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, that storage capacity can be increased with the rear seats folded flat.
As you and your passengers relax in the roomy cockpit of the 2023 Volkswagen Jetta, you'll also find a rich array of infotainment options at your fingertips. The base S model has a 6.5-inch touchscreen display, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a four-speaker sound system with two USB ports and Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ functionality. The premium SEL trim, meanwhile, upgrades this with an 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, and voice control, as well as an enlarged 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a nine-speaker Beats Audio sound system.
While the lower trims don't exactly skimp on features, the 2023 Volkswagen Jetta really goes all-out with the creature comforts on the top-of-the-range SE and SEL trims. The SE starts off by adding simulated leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, the IQ.DRIVE system, and heated front seats, on top of everything standard on the S and Sport trims. Then the SEL really goes to town; sunroof, the upgraded infotainment system, wireless charging pad, full leather upholstery, and heated seats front and rear.
