5 reasons to buy the 2017 Volvo XC60
1. AWD capability
You'll love the 2017 Volvo XC60's optional all-wheel drive for all-weather capability. The fourth-generation Haldex AWD system can send up to 90 percent of engine power to the front or rear wheels, or split the difference 50/50. The system responds nearly instantaneously to a loss of traction, such as when unknowingly driving over black ice. From rain-slicked streets to gravel backroads, the XC60 can get you to any destination.
2. Cozy interior
The 2017 Volvo XC60 seats five adults, and this time they won't mind sitting in the back—there are 37 inches of legroom in the back row. The XC60 is spacious, quiet, and calm, with excellent outward visibility and incredibly comfortable and supportive seats worthy of a spa. Pamper your passengers with standard leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and a large panoramic sunroof on all trim levels. Volvo even takes care of the ergonomics, making driving the XC60 as comfortable as possible.
3. Great towing capacity
The 2017 Volvo XC60 can tow up to an estimated 4,400 lbs. when properly equipped—enough for a car trailer or a small boat.
Note that this figure uses the more powerful T6 engine and AWD. Selecting a different drivetrain lowers the towing capacity slightly, with the T5 engine and/or front-wheel drive lowering the maximum estimated towing capacity to 3,500 lbs. when properly equipped. That weight is essentially two ATVs on a trailer—perfect for your next outdoor adventure.4. Plenty of passenger and cargo room
Slide behind the wheel of the 2017 Volvo XC60 and you'll instantly notice the plentiful passenger space. Tall passengers will appreciate the headroom, and the bountiful storage solutions have a place for every phone or game system. Need to put some stuff in the trunk? The cargo area holds 30.8 cu-ft of your things (approximately six checked bags). Or you can set the rear seats down for an impressive 67.4 cu-ft. Can't decide between wakeboarding or fishing this weekend? The XC60 can carry it all.
5. R-Design trim
If your aesthetics carry over to car design, check out the 2017 Volvo XC60's top trim, the R-Design. This premium sport trim has standard features with unique visual flair, including an R-Design grille, front and rear skid plates, and chrome 20-inch wheels. Inside, there's distinctive R-Design leather seating, an exclusive digital driver's display, and paddle shifters. The R-Design trim also loads up on driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, a driver drowsiness monitor, and genuinely cool adaptive pivoting headlights.
