5 reasons to buy the 2017 Acura MDX

1. Spacious and comfortable cabin

If you're looking for a three-row luxury crossover SUV, a spacious interior is probably high on your priority list—and the 2017 Acura MDX delivers in spades. Up to seven passengers can fit across three rows of seating, and a total of 132.7 cu-ft of passenger volume gives all three rows of seats plenty of legroom to play with—41.4 inches in the front row, 36.6 inches in the second row, and 28.1 inches in the third row. Standard models include leather upholstery and heated, power-adjustable front-row seats. And with available features like heated second-row captain's chairs, you and your passengers are sure to enjoy a comfortable and luxurious journey every time you step into the 2017 MDX.

2. Versatile hybrid engine option

The 2017 Acura MDX has two available engine options, with almost all models featuring a 3.5L V6 engine as standard, packing 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque. That's more than enough power for day-to-day driving, but if you want more power and fewer trips to the pump, check out the available Sport Hybrid trim. It features a 3.0L V6 engine paired with three electric motors and a seven-speed automatic transmission for a combined power output of 321 hp and 289 lb-ft of torque. Alongside this enhanced power output, the hybrid powerplant gets an EPA-estimated 27 mpg combined.

3. Jam-packed feature list

The 2017 Acura MDX has three trim levels and two available options packages, so there's sure to be a model that suits your lifestyle. Standard features on the base trim include a power liftgate, tri-zone automatic climate control, and dual dashboard displays. The Technology trim adds a 10-speaker premium sound system, and the premium Advance trim adds amenities like natural wood trim and ventilated front seats. The Sport Hybrid package (featuring the 3.0L hybrid V6 engine) and the Entertainment package (which includes a DVD rear entertainment system) can be found on Technology and Advance trims.

4. Lots of driver convenience technologies

All 2017 Acura MDX models include the AcuraWatch suite of driver-assistance features as standard to make even busy city driving a breeze. Technologies include collision mitigation braking, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. If you want even more peace of mind, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available on the Technology trim. With so many available driver aids, it's easier than ever to drive this full-size luxury crossover SUV.

5. SH-AWD® system

All 2017 MDX models have available all-wheel drive—Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD®) system. The torque-vectoring system reacts on the fly to distribute power evenly at all times. Not only does this enhance the handling and performance of the MDX, but it also helps give this luxury SUV improved handling in slippery conditions. For rainy days or cold winter mornings, the 2017 Acura MDX has the all-wheel-drive system you need to get wherever you want to go.
