A refined but practical three-row SUV

Do you need the space and practicality of an SUV but want comfort during your drive, too? If yes, consider the Acura MDX. This three-row SUV comes with standard luxury features like leather-trimmed seats and a moonroof, as well as a cabin that is sleek and upscale. However, the MDX also has room for six to seven passengers and all their cargo. It's the best of both worlds—an SUV that is practical enough for your family without feeling like you're compromising on style.

5 reasons to buy the 2019 Acura MDX

1. Comfortable, upscale interior

2019 Acura MDX Review: Front Seats | CarMax

Some SUVs are all about practicality, but the 2019 Acura MDX focuses on comfort and style as well. The cabin comes standard with leather-trimmed seats and a moonroof, which sets a luxurious tone. That's enhanced by the four color options available for the interior: ebony, espresso, graystone, and parchment. As standard, the driver's seat is 14-way power adjustable, while the passenger seat is 12-way power adjustable, making sure you'll always have the right fit. Heated front seats also come standard and ventilated seats are available in the Advance package. The option for captain's chairs in the second row (Advance and Entertainment packages) allows you to choose a cabin that is right for you.

2. Driver-assist features

Today, technology can make driving a bit easier. The 2019 Acura MDX comes with a host of standard driver-assist features to help you navigate the roads. Standard on the 2019 model is a forward collision warning system and forward collision mitigation braking system, which are designed to help you avoid hitting anything with your car. Lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and road departure mitigation systems will also help you keep the vehicle where it belongs. Adaptive cruise control and a rearview camera also come standard. Enhanced driver-assist features including a surround-view camera system and rear cross-traffic monitor are available as part of the Technology package.

3. Easy connectivity

Whether you want to jam to music, listen to podcasts, or stay connected to friends and family while you're driving, the Acura MDX's audio and technology system makes it easy. The 2019 Acura MDX comes standard with an eight-speaker premium audio system. It's simple to connect your smartphone to the car with standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, or Siri Eyes Free. In addition, the Acura MDX comes with Pandora® compatibility, Bluetooth® streaming, SiriusXM® satellite radio, and high-definition radio. Upgraded audio systems with up to twelve speakers are available as part of select packages.

4. Sophisticated all-wheel drive system

2019 Acura MDX Review: Engine | CarMax

The 2019 Acura MDX comes standard with front-wheel drive but all-wheel drive can be added and combined with any package combination. The Acura MDX's all-wheel-drive system is called Super Handling All-Wheel Drive and it's designed to distribute torque to give you the most stable grip of the road. For example, when you're turning a corner, the system sends up to 70 percent of the power to the outside rear wheel in order to increase control. If you're on snowy or otherwise slippery roads, the system automatically sends increased power to the wheel with the most traction. All of this technology means that you don't need to worry about slipping or sliding, even in tough road conditions.

5. Plenty of space

2019 Acura MDX Review: Backseats | CarMax

The 2019 Acura MDX comes standard with seating for seven people, with three seats in the middle row and two in the third row. It's also available with middle-row captain's chairs (Advance and Entertainment packages), which reduce the seating to six. The third row has up to 30.9 inches of legroom (depending on the seat slide positions), which is enough for children and adults on short journeys. In addition, the 2019 MDX has 15 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row and 38.4 cubic feet of cargo space when the third row is folded down. Whether you're hoping to maximize room for your passengers or space for your cargo, the Acura MDX has enough options to give you what you need.
