Available as a coupe or convertible, the 2017 Audi A5 flaunts a curvy exterior and an elegant, well-equipped interior. Whether you're shopping for a sharp daily driver that can accommodate child car seats or something fun for weekend joyrides, the A5 is one to consider. New for 2017, Audi has dropped all previous trim options and introduced a new base model, the Sport. The optional packages layer on to add more opulence to this luxury compact.
Although there's only one trim option for the 2017 Audi A5, there are many package upgrades that stack features. The Convenience package adds on keyless entry/ignition, heated front seats, and automatic dimming mirrors. Love to channel your inner racecar driver? Look for a model with the Sport package. You'll gain sport-tuned suspension, front sport seats, drive modes, and a sport black headliner. Other packages to explore include the Black Optic and Technology.
Without any optional packages, the 2017 Audi A5 is a stunner. Standard equipment includes Bluetooth® connectivity, automatic climate control, a 10-speaker sound system, a panoramic sunroof (coupe only), front/rear parking sensors, an infotainment system, and a 6.5-inch display screen. If you choose the convertible body style, you'll also enjoy a power-folding cloth softtop with a wind blocker.
Do you love to manually shift through all the gears while accelerating? The 2017 Audi A5 coupe comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission so you can feel the power with each push of the clutch and shift of the gearstick. The coupe can also be fitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The convertible features the automatic option.
Although you don't buy a luxury compact for its storage ability, it is nice to have dedicated space for your golf bag or weekly grocery pick-up order. The 2017 Audi A5 does have a usable trunk. In the coupe model, you'll enjoy 12.2 cu-ft of cargo room. The convertible has a bit less, 10.2 cu-ft, to make room for the folded soft top when stored. The rear seats fold down to add additional cargo space if needed.
Under the hood of the 2017 Audi A5 is a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder 220-hp engine. Although this isn't a sports car, you'll appreciate the rev of the engine as you pull away from lights and its ability to grip corners thanks to the all-wheel drive and traction control features. Whether you're planning the summer family vacation or itching for a couple's weekend getaway, the 2017 Audi A5 will get you where you're going.
