2024 Lexus RX 350 review

1. Excellent base engine 

The turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder acts like a V6 with 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Those numbers, plus AWD, are good for a zero to 60 time of 7.2 seconds when new, easily overcoming short on-ramps or providing plenty of passing power to get around a big rig. Keep your foot off the go pedal and the Lexus RX 350 with FWD returns an EPA-estimated 25 mpg combined.

AWD takes a slight hit, dropping the EPA-estimated combined mpg to 24. 

2. Impressive tech 

A large and intuitive 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard while a 14-inch screen is available, both are bright, quick, and intuitive. Apple CarPlay^® and Android Auto^™ are standard. Navigation is optional, as is a power panoramic sunroof, and head-up display. The base sound system is impressive with 12 speakers plus a subwoofer, but the available 21-speaker Mark Levinson premium surround sound will impress with its clarity.  

3. Standard driver assistance  

Tired of doing it all? The 2024 RX 350 has standard driver-assistance features grouped into one convenient package. Proactive driving assist uses vehicle cameras and radar to assist with tackling blind corners, while road sign assist reads street signs and displays appropriate info on the touchscreen. On road trips, you will love the dynamic radar cruise control that sees and adjusts your cruising speed to other drivers on the road.  

4. Comfort for days 

The RX 350 is big on comfort, with plush seats and large passenger space. Up front, expect 39.5 inches of headroom, and stretch out with 41.1 inches of legroom. Behind, the back seats are for more than just kids, with 38.6 and 37.4 respectively. Smart touches, like the center console that can be opened from the left or right side, show how Lexus engineers sweat the details to make the 2024 RX 350 the ultimate comfort SUV. Cargo space is a generous 29.6 cu-ft behind the rear seats, or fold them down for 46.2 cu-ft.  

5. Intelligent AWD 

Snow won’t prevent you from getting home with the RX 350's optional all-wheel drive. This smart AWD system will elevate your confidence while driving, even in slick conditions. Monitoring road conditions in real-time, this AWD system can automatically transfer engine power between the RX 350’s front and rear axles to accommodate the wheels with the most grip.
