5 reasons to buy the 2017 Lincoln MKZ
1. Strong engines
The 2017 MKZ can hustle when you need it to. The base engine is a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder making 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. It’s great around town and for tackling on-ramps, running zero to 60 in 7.4 seconds when new. Optionally, a twin-turbo 3.0L V6 delivers 350 hp with FWD and 400 hp with AWD. That last pairing is good for zero to 60 in just 4.8 seconds. Both engines connect to a six-speed automatic transmission.
2. Available AWD
Bad weather happens, especially when we need to be somewhere important. Slick weather doesn’t bother the 2017 MKZ with available all-wheel drive. Available with either engine, the MKZ uses an intelligent AWD system to monitor road conditions and for wheel spin. When slip is detected, Dynamic Torque Vectoring almost instantaneously sends power to the wheels with traction.
3. Open roof style
If you like the idea of convertibles, but don’t like the drawbacks, look for an MKZ with the available retractable roof. A massive 15.2 square foot glass roof slides back at the push of a button, allowing unlimited views and fresh air for all your passengers. This feature is optional in all but base trim and needs only 10 seconds to completely transform the look and feel of the car.
4. New suit
The refresh for the 2017 model year updated the grille to a large sophisticated look, along with new LED headlights to match. The rear shows off an angular design with a thin single lamp assembly running the width of the rear. Inside, the open and elegant feeling of the cabin is enhanced by a new standard infotainment design with real buttons for easy control. Available finishes range from aluminum, real wood, or carbon fiber trim accenting a variety of leather colors. Add some visual spice to your daily routine with the MKZ.
5. Turn it up
If you are an audiophile, or just like your music loud, look for the available Revel Ultima® sound system. With an incredible 20 speakers plus an amplifier, this system has the clarity and power you can feel. The Clari-Fi™ reconstruction technology rebuilds audio details lost to compressed digital music such as from MP3s or standard satellite radio.
