5 reasons to buy the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Metris

1. Big cargo area

The 186 cu-ft of volume in the Cargo version of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Metris gives it a major edge when it comes to hauling. There’s also an extended wheelbase version offering 199 cu-ft of volume, and you can get a rear liftgate or swing-out rear cargo doors to make it easier to load and move things around. Plus, there are plenty of tie-down points to ensure whatever you’re carrying is secure.

2. Haulage and towing

Towing is a breeze with the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Metris, which has a very impressive capacity for this. The 2.0L turbo engine enables it to tow up to an estimated 5,000 lbs when properly equipped and is pre-wired for trailer use already.

The Cargo version of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Metris also has a 2,502-lb payload capacity, meaning it can carry large volumes of tools and equipment.

3. Changes for its final year

While the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Metris is bowing out this year, it's still got a lot to offer for its final iteration. The instrument cluster with digital display and forward collision mitigation have become standard features, broadening what the Metis offers. Although it has remained part of the same generation since 2016, this model is still a very impressive van with a lot of practical benefits. If you're looking for a version of the Metis with the most features to offer, this is the one.

4. Utility

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz Metris stands out in terms of its utility. As well as its unique shape and size acting as a gap-filler between small and full-sized vans, its payload and tow ratings make it practical for work duty. Plus, depending on which type you go for, there are multiple tie-downs, LED lighting, double sliding rear doors, and roof rails available, adding even more layers of practicality.

5. Surprisingly lithe

Thanks to both its strong 208-hp engine and the lightness of the vehicle, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Metris shines when it comes to performance. It’s lithe, maneuvers well, and it has enough power to make it capable even with a full load of passengers or cargo. When you’re in a hurry, whether you’re hauling equipment, furniture, or people, it handles corners with smooth responsiveness.
