Classic full-size sedan

If you're searching for a car that looks elegant in the work parking lot, makes weekend road trips a breeze, and has space for kids, pets, and backpacks, consider the 2015 Ford Taurus with four doors and seating for five. You'll love the ample technology and cozy comforts including cruise control, air conditioning, and six-way power front seats -- all standard. New for 2015, the SE and SEL trims have more driver-assist features and modern tech.

All Ford Taurus years

What is new for the 2015 Ford Taurus?

  • New trim option added for increased customization
  • All models now come standard with advanced safety features
  • New infotainment system with enhanced connectivity options
  • Updated engine choices for improved fuel efficiency
  • Removal of manual transmission option in select trims

1. Handy modern tech

The 2015 Ford Taurus base SE trim now features many goodies previously only offered on higher trim levels. This year a rearview camera and keyless entry come standard. If you love to turn up the tunes, the Bluetooth® phone and audio connectivity allows for easy streaming on the six-speaker audio system. There's also a CD player, auxiliary audio jack, and a USB/iPod interface if you like to jam out old school.

2. Three engine options

A third engine option joined the line-up for 2015. Under the hood of a 2015 Ford Taurus you'll find a traditional 3.5L V6 standard, a turbocharged 3.5L V6 (SHO trim only), or an EcoBoost 2.0L four-cylinder (optional on SE, SEL front-wheel drives, and Limited trims). The traditional V6 and four-cylinder engines come with front-wheel drive standard, with all-wheel drive as an option. The turbocharged V6 in the SHO trim features all-wheel drive standard.

3. Personal monitoring system

A standard feature across all trims of the 2015 Ford Taurus is the MyKey system. This allows you to set speed parameters and audio volume maximums when others are behind the wheel of your car. Use this system when monitoring teen drivers, valet parking attendants, or if your employees drive the 2015 Ford Taurus as a company car.

4. Luxurious SHO trim

If you crave cruising down the highway in the top-of-the-line 2015 Ford Taurus SHO trim, get ready to enjoy the sport-tuned suspension, the turbo-powered V6 engine (standard), and all-wheel drive to easily navigate varying weather conditions. When it comes to comfort, you'll appreciate the heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, a sunroof, a navigation system, a massage feature in the front seats, and all the standard modern tech previously mentioned.

5. Driver-assist features

The 2015 Ford Taurus likes to make your drives as simple as possible. Standard features include a rearview camera, traction control, stability control, and blind spot mirrors. Drivers of the SEL, Limited, and SHO trims gain rear parking sensors. Options on the Limited and SHO trims include an automatic braking feature mated with a pre-collision warning system, a lane departure warning, a blind spot warning system, a lane-keeping system, and a warning of cross-traffic (cars or pedestrians) while you back up.
