After an exterior and interior facelift for the 2022 model year, Jeep delivered a great new standard turbocharged engine for the 2023 model year Compass. The 2.0L four-cylinder delivers an even 200 horsepower, which is a significant bump from 177 hp in the 2022 model. It's also gets an EPA-estimated 24 mpg city and 32 mpg highway (27 mpg combined).
All 2023 Compass models are 4x4, but if you want to get even further off of the pavement check out the Compass Trailhawk. It features raised suspension, underbody skid plates, tow hooks, a trim-specific AWD system with low-range gearing, and "rock driving" mode. The Trailhawk is ready to tackle your favorite back-road trail or reach that out-of-the-way campsite.
Check out the base Sport trim and you'll get a ton of great stuff as standard like a large 10.1-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. If you are looking for a bit more comfort, the Compass Latitude adds synthetic leather upholstery on the seats and the steering wheel while the Latitude Lux gets real leather with heated front seats. The Limited is the most comfort-focused with standard dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, and automatic wipers.
While the 2023 Compass is a compact crossover, it's engineered to haul more people and gear than you might expect. There is 27.2 cu-f of space behind the second row, all while retaining a solid 38.3 inches of rear seat legroom so your passengers can get comfortable on your next big adventure. Dropping those rear seats will get you up to 59.8 cu-ft with an adjustable load floor to help get everything properly situated.
The large 10.1-inch touchscreen is paired with a standard seven-inch driver's display (a 10.3-inch fully digital display is optional) so you can keep all the key vehicle information right at hand. All 2023 Compass models get standard driver aids like forward collision mitigation, lane departure mitigation, blind spot monitoring, and more. The options list is substantial, with things like a 115-volt power outlet, 360-degree camera system, automated parking system, and navigation available, just to name a few.
