Nissan's best-selling vehicle, the Rogue, is all-new for 2021 and Nissan has addressed many criticisms of its predecessor. Retaining the Rogue's practicality, with a large trunk as well as improved interior storage, Nissan has improved how it drives and added more advanced technology. The steering now delivers some feedback, while the suspension is more agile without compromising the ride quality. The weak link remains the powertrain. For 2021, power for the 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine has been increased to 181 hp (from 170 hp in the previous generation). Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional.
The trim choices remain familiar, though there have been improvements. The S finally gains alloy wheels as standard equipment, as well as an 8-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, and Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone compatibility. SV, SV Luxe, SL, SL Luxe, and the all-new Platinum trims add better audio equipment, and more luxury and convenience features. Admirably, Nissan fits all models with its advanced driver aid suite, which it dubs Nissan Safety Shield®. A more rounded, appealing Rogue than ever, it's not the best of the compact SUVs, but it's a compelling buy.

The 2021 Nissan Rogue has more cargo space than most other compact SUVs. In models without the moonroof, you get 36.5 cu ft of space, while moonroof models get a touch less at 36.3 cu ft. You'll have plenty of room for camping gear or sound equipment — or just everyday kids essentials like strollers and playpens. Nissan's Divide-N-Hide cargo system, which comes standard on the SL and Platinum trims of the 2021 model, allows you to split the cargo hold into two different areas, or cover valuable equipment that you're traveling with.
If you're traveling with kids, you'll love that the 2021 Nissan Rogue can accommodate three car seats across the back row. The 2021 Rogue has five LATCH anchors in the back seat, so two car seats can be secured using the LATCH anchors side-by-side. If you use a seat belt for one seat, you can secure three seats at the same time. Plus, the 2021 Rogue comes standard with wide-opening doors, which make it easy to get car seats in and out of the back.
No matter which trim level of the 2021 Nissan Rogue you choose, you'll get standard driver-assist features that will help you get where you're going. All 2021 Nissan Rogues have forward and rear emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and more. Optional features like an all-around view camera, a sonar system, and traffic sign recognition add additional peace of mind.
The 2021 Nissan Rogue makes it easy to stay connected on the road. All trim levels come standard with Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™ connectivity. Your 2021 Nissan Rogue makes charging simple, too, with integrated USB and USB-C ports: you'll find one of each on the base trim and two of each on all other trim levels.
The 2021 Nissan Rogue offers all-wheel drive at every trim level. If you live in cold, snowy climates or like to get off-road during summer camping trips, the all-wheel drive system will help you reach your destination. The all-wheel drive is enhanced by the optional snow mode and off-road mode tractions settings, available at every trim level.
