The CT6 is a full-size luxury sedan that has impressive driving dynamics and it’s stuffed with standard features. With surprising driving dynamics, optional powerful engines, and advanced suspension tech, the CT6 is great to drive. Comfort is high thanks to a large interior volume and comfortable standard 14-way power heated seats. The CUE infotainment looks great on the 10.2-inch screen. It's the optional features are where Cadillac is showing off, such as the Bose® Panaray system with 34 speakers (no, that’s not a typo), and a rear-seat entertainment system so you won’t ever have to hear “Are we there yet?”.
The standard engine on base and Luxury trims is a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder making 265 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Premium Luxury and Platinum trim feature a standard 3.6L V6 with 335 hp and 284 lb-ft. An optional engine for all trims (except the base) moves the CT6 with authority. Look for the twin-turbo 3.0L V6 with 404 hp and 400 lb-ft for brisk acceleration from a stop or superb highway passing power.
The CT6 is a full-size sedan with plenty of comfort for five adults. Front headroom is SUV-like at 40.2 inches, and good enough for your tallest friends with an incredible 46.4 inches of legroom. Things are just as spacious in the back, with 38 inches of headroom and 40.4 inches of legroom, generous figures for rear occupants. The trunk is also large, with 15.3 cu-ft of cargo space, enough for five standard golf bags. Even the cavernous center console holds 2.2L.
As the peak sedan in Cadillac’s lineup, the CT6 is a showcase for standard features. Have a seat behind the wheel of the base model and you will see: dual-zone climate (with optional quad-zone), an eight-inch driver information display (12-inch screen is optional), a 10.2-inch infotainment screen, a powered tilt/telescoping steering wheel and two USB ports. There's also a leather-wrapped steering wheel and 14-way heated power-adjustable front seats.
Optional Active Rear Steering enhances the CT6’s turning ability by turning the rear wheels in certain conditions. At low speeds, like in a parking lot, the system turns the rear wheels opposite of the front wheels, allowing you to have the turning radius of a midsize car and easily make it around sharp corners. At high speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front, for smooth lane changes and stability.
Sometimes you want to pretend the gridlocked traffic isn’t there and simply turn up your tunes. The CT6 has a standard Bose® eight-speaker premium sound system. Luxury and Premium Luxury trims receive an upgraded Bose Centerpoint 10-speaker sound system. The real news is the Bose Panaray sound system, with an unheard-of 34 speakers, so you can blast your country, K-pop, or techno with maximum clarity.
