5 reasons to buy the 2014 Ford Expedition

1. Tons of space

With seating for up to eight people, your 2014 Expedition is ready for adventure. The Expedition also offers 18.6 cu-ft behind the third row, while the Expedition EL has an impressive 42.6 cu-ft. If you need even more space, the flat load floor has a maximum of 108.3 cu-ft in the standard Expedition and 130.8 cu-ft in the Ford Expedition EL, both with the second and third rows folded. That means more room for adventure.

2. Standard V8 power

Both versions of the Expedition have a standard 5.4L V8 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. That means 310 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque and a maximum tow rating of 9,200 pounds when properly equipped.

The Expedition is ready whether you are looking to tow a boat to the lake or haul an RV out to your favorite campsite.

3. Great standard features

The base XLT is a great place to start, with tons of great standard features. You'll find exterior features like automatic headlights, foglights, running boards, a roof rack, rear parking sensors, heated mirrors, integrated blind-spot mirrors, and power rear-quarter windows. The interior gets standard features like air-conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, a six-way power driver seat, power-adjustable pedals, a sliding and reclining 40/20/40-split second-row seat, and a fold-flat third-row seat.

Meanwhile, the 202A package adds all that, plus a heavy-duty trailer tow package, heated and cooled front seats, and an eight-way power passenger seat with power lumbar adjustment.

5. Higher spec trims

If you want even more, check out the higher-spec Limited and top-spec King Ranch versions of the Expedition. The Limited gets the 201A and 202A packages, front parking sensors, power-folding mirrors, heated second-row seats, and a wood-trimmed steering wheel.
