The 2019 Genesis G90 is a luxury-focused sedan that offers incredible value thanks in no small part to how fully loaded even the base trim is. It's also pretty straightforward: There are two trims, with the major difference being the 3.3T Premium comes with a V6 and the 5.0 Ultimate comes with a V8.
All G90s are loaded with driver aids like adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are both standard features.
You won't find another luxury sedan with this list of features for a lower price. But the G90 doesn't quite offer the same luxurious feel of rivals like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or BMW 7 Series. It's also not as thrilling to drive as getting behind the wheel of an Audi A7. But if you're looking to save a bit of money on a luxury car with all the trimmings, the G90 is a great call.
Comfort: Genesis pushed the dial all the way toward comfort when designing the G90. The driver's seat is adjustable in 22 ways and the front passenger seat can be adjusted 14 ways. On the Ultimate trim, the rear seats can also be adjusted and ventilation is added. The G90 delivers an impressively smooth, comfortable ride.
Interior: There's a lot of space inside the G90. Plenty of head- and legroom is offered to all passengers, and getting in and out of the sedan is easy. Materials aren't quite as nice as those offered by Mercedes-Benz and BMW, but the leather is soft and rich. Some of these interior features get an upgrade for 2020.
Value: There isn't a luxury sedan available with so many features for such a competitive price. Both G90 trims are fully loaded with driver aids, comfort, and tech. It's a great choice for shoppers who want tons of features but not the price tag that often comes with it.
Fuel economy: The G90 gets an EPA-estimated 19 mpg combined when equipped with the V8 engine and only picked up an extra mpg when downgrading to the V6. That's a bit worse than competitors like the Mercedes-Benz S550 (22 mpg combined) and BMW 740i xDrive (24 mpg combined) and the driving experience is less engaging.
